Analog Devices visit Ransboro
Earlier this year, Ransboro National School in Sligo wowed judges at the STEMtacular powered by Analog Devices STEM Fair, earning first place for their outstanding project. As part of their prize, the school recently welcomed a special visit from Analog Devices, headline sponsor of the event.
During the visit, ADI team members Justine and Kaelan spoke with students from 3rd to 6th class about careers in engineering, presented a commemorative plaque to the winning team – Leon, Kyle, Matty, and Owen – and gifted hands-on STEM kits to support continued exploration and learning.
The visit captured the true spirit of STEMtacular – sparking curiosity, celebrating creativity, and showing students what’s possible through STEM.

St Pauls NS Castlerea Visit University of Limerick Chemistry Department
Winners of the Best School Award at the STEMtacular powered by Analog Devices STEM Fair, St. Paul’s NS Castlerea recently enjoyed a well-earned day of science-filled fun at the University of Limerick’s Chemistry Department – and it was a day to remember!
The students rolled up their sleeves and got hands-on with exciting chemistry experiments, including changing colours with CO₂ reactions, exploring pH indicators, and discovering the magic behind everyday materials. Guided by the UL Chemistry team, the pupils experienced the wonder of science in a real university lab setting.
Of course, no celebration is complete without some treats – and the day wrapped up with pizza, ice cream, and plenty of smiles all around!
A huge thanks to the incredible staff at UL for their warm welcome for helping create opportunities like this that show just how fun and inspiring STEM can be.
